'Health is Wealth' is a famous proverb which means real wealth in life
is not money but sound health. People who are healthy can work more in
comparison to people who are ailing. Maintaining sound health is like
long-term investment plan with huge returns.
Keeping this in mind the Student Welfare Department of DAV Institute of
Management, Faridabad in association with Rotaract Club of DAVIM
organised Free Health Check up camp in its campus from 1st December to
4th December 2021 from 10.00 am 2.00 pm.
On Day 1 of the camp more than 47 students and staff members were
benefited by consultation given by Dr. Dhruv Sharma an Ortho and Spine
specialist. Main complaints among the patients were related to back pain
and knee pain and were treated symptomatically It was followed by Skin
and Hair Check up by Dr. Neha Garg on Day 2 in which more than 55 people
were benefited. On Day 3 of the camp around 70 students and staff
members with vision and other ophthalmic problems were screened and
treated by ophthalmologist from Centre for Sight and 30 students and
staff members with dental problems were assessed and treated by Clove
Dental. On Day 4 a team of doctors' form Santosh multi - speciality
Hospital conducted General Health Check up wherein more than 100 people
availed their services.
Dr. Satish Ahuja, Principal Director applauded the efforts of Dr. Neelam
Gulati, Head- Centre for Environment, MS. Reema Nangia, Head- Student
Welfare Department and their team members Dr. Bhawna Sharma, Ms.
Vandana Jain, Dr.Nidhi Turan, Ms. Neha Sharma, Dr. Geetika Khurana, Dr.
Dhrity Gulati, Ms. Ritu Gaitam and Ms. Pooja Goyal for organising the
camp. He appreciated the efforts of rotaractors of DAVIM for making it a
grand success.
